Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to arrive?
Your order shows progress as your book is prepared. Once the printer provides an estimated arrival range, we show it with the time it was last updated. Dates are estimates, not guarantees. Live hardcover orders remain closed until our physical sample and provider checks are approved.
What if I'm not feeling creative?
Pick one of our three pre-built stories, or choose Direct Your Own and start with an idea chip. You can edit the direction and include details like a favorite toy.
Can I make changes before it prints?
Payment comes first. Then you approve the cover and first five pages before we finish the book. Two generated revisions are included across character, dedication, proof, and illustration changes; text-only edits don't use them. Hardcover customers also approve the complete, exact print proof and have a 60-minute edit/cancel window before printing. Canceling print approval does not automatically refund the purchase.
Is this made with AI?
Yes. Bedtime uses AI to write and illustrate stories from your authorized photos and directions. After payment, you review and approve the initial proof before we finish the rest.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos are used to create your family's characters and story. We don't sell them or use them to train AI models. You can remove your family's information; read our Privacy Policy for details. Read our Privacy Policy.
Where can you ship?
Hardcover shipping is limited to the United States and Canada. When sales open, standard shipping is quoted before payment using a 36-page book. The paid shipping amount stays the same if your selected story is shorter. The $59 book price includes applicable sales tax; shipping is additional.
What if my book arrives damaged?
If a book arrives damaged, contact us with your order details and a photo of the damage. Replacement and return terms have not been finalized.
